Jacket Either of the South Coast Swords jackets They can come in custom colors, and patches if you want AVKDF Green, or a back patch.
Any of the SPES AP jackets from Purpleheart Armory are great, this is the standard, the rest are up to your taste and budget, #12 green if you want it club colors.
Arms, and Elbows: Lynx Arms these are what most of us have.
SPES Arm, and Elbow Protection The forearms can be quite long on the SPES, the economy sets are the same as Lynx as far as I can tell.
Lynx Leg Protection PurpleHearts selection is good quality as well. Also many motocross, or baseball catchers legs will work, and can be bought second hand. Check with Lee first though. Also there is the fauld, or fighting skirt HERE for hip and thigh protection (not required, but encouraged). And Fighting pants from PurpleHeart Armory.
The trickiest thing is hand protection.
I am not terribly satisfied with them. They do have a new model out for $50. more though that seems to address my concerns. HERE
I like the design on these better, more protective of the thumb. But they are having production issues right now with the quality of the plastic being used. They also cost much less. Lynx Gloves
The top of the line, and worth every penny are the ProGauntlets. These are about as close to perfect as you can get, but expensive, and it takes a while to get them (6 months at least last I checked) Pro Gauntlets
ProGauntlets cheaper cousin is the Sparring Glove "Infinity Gloves".
These are only slightly more expensive than the SPES gloves and give excellent protection and mobility. They have a modular design to make repairs easy also. They take a while to get to you, but not as long as the ProGauntlet.
These can be found HERE Men, and an athletic cup is required. Preferably Hockey level, such as the Shock Doctor cups.
And that is the suggested list for protective gear.
Synthetics any of these will be acceptable Federschwert have the schilt the wide part at the cross. This is a historical way of giving added protection for the hands:
Blackfencer Federschwert is a very nice blade.
The Steel Feders that We have are VB Rev D Rolled tip.
These are nice in that you can easily replace any part of the sword due to it being threaded, and not peened.
I am also very impressed with Sigi Forge blades. https://sigiforge.com/
I have other suggestions if you want higher end steel swords, or a sharp, please feel free to comment here with any thoughts, questions, or suggestions, or talk to me in person. Lee
