This is an event that is intended to foster growth and community within Arizona, and its purpose is to prepare folks for tournaments without the added pressure. We do not submit results to HEMA Ratings and we do not award high dollar value prizes. Medals will be awarded if we have 20+ competitors and healthy representation from 2 or more HEMA schools.
Because our goal is geared towards training and experience, this event is low intensity, low pressure, and we expect all competitors to conduct themselves in a manner that best reflects these intentions. Keep it friendly, keep it fun.
Not only is this event used to prepare fighters, but also to prepare staff for large events. Competitors are asked to be very patient and lenient with judges, as many of them are doing this for the first time ever and are using this experience to learn and prepare for judging at larger events.
Additional notes: -water and light snacks will be provided at no cost. -we encourage filming and videos, we only ask two things: let us know and tag us if you post it! -family and friends are most welcome, spectator donations are appreciated but not required.
